Who are we?

In November 2017, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and United States Agency for International Development’s Center for Innovation and Impact (USAID CII) convened a group of donors, implementers, and designers at HCDUncut. The purpose of HCDUncut was to share opportunities and challenges related to the successful application of design in global health and to co-create a vision for the future. There, the participants identified a set of key opportunities to support the realization of this vision. This convening was the first step in growing a community of practice committed to effectively and appropriately mainstreaming design across global health. From there, a broad set of advisors collaborated to build the resources available on this website. We are grateful to the following organizations for contributing their valuable time and expertise towards the development of this work.

Thank you for your generosity.
